I have had this place on my list to try for a while. Slightly disappointed, as I really wanted to love it. Best item was by far the Deep Fried Shrimp Rolls, followed by the Siu Mai, and Fried Rice. The Deep Fried Pork Dumplings were good but a bit too sweet for my taste. The Beef Balls and Pan Fried Vegetable Rolls are not something I would ever order again. Order came with various sauces as well as fortune cookies. A bit pricey in my opinion but interesting to try

Always busy per usual. Still beautifully decorated. I liked our server for once. They're very ademant about clearing plates from the table. Shrimp crepe fave Bean curd skin dim sum is just OK prob wouldn't get again Chicken feet just OK Turnip cake great Udon noodles not a big fan at all Wide rice noodles good Fried circular Tofu over greens was tasty

Few culinary treats satisfy me more than a good DimSum feed. The great variety and the sheer difference of the cuisine are welcome respite from the norm. When I lived in the Near-Western Chicago 'Burbs, it was a no-brainer to hop in the short and stream down the Stevenson directly to Chicago's bustling Chinatown, only to dash up the stairs of Three Happiness and do my best to plow through as many of the offerings presented in the silver steam carts being pushed down the aisles as I could. Now ensconced at Stately Breakwind Manor out on the collar ring of the Chicago megalopolis, it's a day-trip and half to said Chinatown, and the parking headache now assured on every visit. Needless to say, I ain't had DimSum in quite a spell. Every once in a while, My lovely Bride goes to Florida to spend time with Daughter #1 & Family and put in some serious beach time. I love our Daughter & Family but couldn't care less about the beach. I use the bachelor time to play my guitars as loud as I want, and moreover to visit the restaurants my conservatively-palated Wife would not enter even if they paid her to do so. I comb Yelp searching suitable candidates for my solo dining visits, and I've had great success in finding new places. Funny though, I never typed "DimSum" in the Yelp search box, figuring there wouldn't be such a beast anywhere out here in the hinterland. My dumb ass. Imagine my shock when I learned Naperville's Minghin Cusine here served DimSum all day long. I was floored! Chris's out of town jaunt was a brief one, this time, and I only had opportunity for one exploratory dinner-Minghin Cuisine it was! This place used to be a phony Mexican joint. and it's a spacious place. As you approach, you notice the building is a little worse for the wear, but I've come to expect that from a lot of ethnic joints. Don't let it put you off. If you visit their website, it looks far more posh than it is, but once inside, it's bright and busy. It was a Saturday evening, and the joint was packed. A good sign. On the way back to my table, all the dishes on folks' tables looked and smelled excellent. The Minghin website shows a limited number of DimSum, and I thought a small selection is better than NO DimSum. Imagine my surprise when I was handed a picture sheet with a quite extensive Chinatown-style DimSum menu where you check off the dishes you desire with the provided pen and hand it to the server. I selected a bunch of dumplings, Tofu-skin rolls, and Lotus-wrapped Sticky rice. A pot of Oolong and a trio of sauces appeared on the table almost immediately. After a short wait, the first offerings were delivered, and it included an order of Chicken Feet, which I did not order. I happen to LOVE Chicken Feet Dim Sum, and dug in right away. The server, dropping off the remainder of my stuff picked up the Chicken Feet and said "mistake", but I said "please leave them and add to my order". They, and the rest of everything were delicious. Service was pleasant and on point. Thus followed a tasty repast, one that hit the proverbial spot. In other words, I made a complete sow of myself, finishing everything I ordered (and I ordered a lot, 'cos I wanted to taste a wide variety; figuring I'd take the remainder home for snacks). Not this noche, Bubba! The whole thing was made even sweeter knowing I have an outlet for DimSum which doesn't require a full tank of gas, and an afternoon off. Bigger bonus- The Chinatown DimSummers usually stop selling DimSum after 2 pm; but Minghin here serves it ALL DAY/EVENING LONG. And oh yeah, they never pinged me for the mistaken Chicken Feet. I'm throwing 5, 'cos the DimSum was as good as anything I've had in Chinatown. The only potential sadness is, I may never get to the regular menu in this place. If there's DimSum on the ready, I'm SO there. If you haven't tried DimSum, give it a go-either dine with someone who is experienced, or look at the photos and order what looks good. There are only 2 things on the menu that make the "weird-o-meter" jump for some folks and those are the afore-mentioned Chicken Feet and a Tripe dish. Go with the shrimp dumplings, the Baos and the Crepes to dip your toes in the water. You'll be glad you did...

Used to live in Garden Grove, 5 mins from the #1 dimsum restaurant in Cali, so I have very high expectations when it comes to dimsum. This place did not disappoint. Probably not the best duck I've had but siomai and chicken feet were on point. Clean and great service.

Firstly, the place ks beautiful, very spacious. It has a big parking. Second the food is so tasty and the quantity is more than enough. We were 2 people and can have for 3 meals. I lived the general Tso the most. Mango shake was good too. I loved the place and food. I recommend this place.

After reading through some reviews on Yelp and Google, some of them made me laugh out loud. I just wanted to clarify a couple of things, this place is not a Michelin star. Clearly, that person has never been to a Michelin star restaurant, because if you've ever been to one then you'll know. Secondly, this place is not fancy or super expensive. It depends on what you order. If you order like 10 dim sum items for only one person, then yeah it would be expensive. On the regular menu, the portions are ample and the prices are reasonable. On a side note, there are not many dim sum restaurants in Naperville, so this would be considered a specialty. If there were 2 other dim sum restaurants within 5 mins of each other, then Minghin's dim sum prices would probably be cheaper to compete. Parking is sufficient but if you go on the weekends or holidays, then yes it can get busy. Don't go on those days, go on a weekday or weeknight. Mon-Thurs would be ideal but Fri can be okay. If you must go on the weekend, then aim for 11 am. 12 pm and after, don't be surprised if it gets hectic. Service every time I went was average. I did not experience any racism or rude service. Food quality was always consistent each time I dined in or got takeout. You order with the tablet and the food comes out relatively fast and hot. This is not the restaurant's fault but I wished they had another entrance/exit. The main one can be a pain in the butt with frequent traffic coming off the tollway, you can't really turn left.

From the outside to the interior, I can't say there is much that makes this place stand apart from other establishments. However, the food and prices are outstanding, with the exception of the sleep short rib. That dish was chewy than it should be, and the flavor was lacking. Each of the dumplings was delicious, cooked, and especially priced well. Don't hesitate to order anything other than the short rib on the menu. Additionally, if you've never had a pan-fried taro cake or would like to try an excellently prepared one, try this one. Taro is a root and can have a similar texture to a potato when cooked. The difference is in the slight sweetness. Service for this establishment was quick and well paced. We were never lacking with the food and could always order more when we needed it. I recommend this location.

Coming to Chicago, I really missed reasonably priced dim sum. My friend highly recommended Minghin Naperville because it's the best he's had. They have a parking lot, so parking is easy and free. The restaurant is big and has lots of seating options from tables to booths. You order on a iPad and the food comes out very quickly as they're ready. The service is great, the servers quickly removed plates as soon as they were cleared. Super attentive service! The dim sum is good and super cheap compared to the city. For three people, and about 10 dim sum our total was $67 before tips! I highly recommend making the drive to Naperville for well priced dim sum!
